Power Washing in Brick, NJ, From Shore Acres to the Ranches off Route 88

Brick, NJ sits on the north side of our Ocean County range, up Route 70 or the Parkway from Pine Beach, and it's mainly a year-round town.

The lagoon neighborhoods on the Metedeconk and the bay, Shore Acres and Baywood among them, put a lot of houses right on the water. Inland, the streets off Route 70 and Route 88 are full of postwar ranches and capes, with newer homes and adult communities mixed in. Brick also has its own short stretch of the barrier island.

Lagoon houses take a beating

A lagoon house in Brick gets weather from two directions. Street side, it's shade and damp, and the north-facing vinyl grows algae. Wind off the lagoon pushes salt haze onto the water side, where the sun bakes the salt right onto the glass. Bulkhead-side patios stay wet and go green.

A lot of these homes were raised after Sandy, which put the siding and the windows a full story higher. Gutters too. Jobs the owner used to do from a stepladder now need proper ladders and poles. The dryer vent often runs down through the new lower level as well, a long run that packs with lint.

Handyman repairs in Brick

Most of what people see us doing in Brick is outside work on the siding and the gutters. The windows too. The inside of the house keeps a list of its own. Shelves and blinds need hanging, and there's trim to replace or a tub that needs re-caulking. We change the HVAC filters and the smoke and CO alarm batteries and clean out the bathroom exhaust vents. Ranch off Route 88 or raised lagoon home in Baywood. Same deal. One visit knocks out the list, and you get a before and after photo of every item.

If you've already got a house wash or a gutter cleaning on the calendar, we can add it to that visit, or to a Quarterly Maintenance Plan visit, so there's no second trip. Some jobs go to a plumber or an electrician, and roof work goes to a roofer. Our handyman services page spells out which ones, and what we take on ourselves.

Gutter Cleaning in Inland Brick: Herbertsville Oaks, Shade and Pollen

Away from the water, Brick is a tree town. Herbertsville and the streets north of Route 70 have mature oaks and maples that fill the gutters every fall. Pollen coats the driveways in May. North-facing siding on a shaded lot grows the same green film year after year.

The adult communities and condo associations in Brick are a good fit for the Quarterly Maintenance Plan, and we spread the filters and alarm batteries over four visits a year, along with the dryer vents and the gutters. Siding wash and windows too, plus the AC coils and the water heater.

In his Google review Vito wrote, "Nick and his team recently did work at our home and at my office building. They were reasonable, honest and professional. We were very pleased! Highly recommend!"

Commercial properties along Route 70 and Route 88

Brick's two main roads are lined with retail plazas and professional offices, and there are multi-family buildings along them too. For the property managers and landlords who run those buildings, there's our Commercial Quarterly Maintenance Plan. We wash the facades and entryways and pressure wash the walkways, then clear the gutters and roof drains. We test the emergency lighting and alarms. Filters get changed. Whatever handyman items pile up between visits get done too, and you get photos after every visit.

What Brick customers ask us

Yes. A lot of what we do in Shore Acres and Baywood is on homes lifted after Sandy. We bring the ladders and poles for the siding and gutters, and for the second-story windows, and we photograph everything before and after.

Late spring and late fall if you're on one of the wooded inland streets. Out on the water, there are fewer trees, so once a year is often enough, but we check the downspouts for sand.

We pre-wet the plants first and use biodegradable cleaning agents, then rinse everything down after. Your bulkhead gets the same care we'd give a front yard.

Yes. We run quarterly plans for HOAs and condo associations, and for property managers too. Every visit gets photographed so the HOA board can see it. We're licensed, bonded, and insured, NJHIC #13VH13963600.

We do both. We hang shelves and blinds and replace trim and caulking. Filters and alarm batteries get changed too, and we take care of exhaust vents and small carpentry. You can book it on its own or tack it onto a wash or a gutter cleaning. If it needs a plumber or an electrician, we'll tell you. Same with a roofer.
