A gutter over a deck in Point Pleasant

On April 19, 2026, we cleaned the gutters on a Point Pleasant house with a deck below the roofline. The gutter was full of leaves and roof grit, plus a layer of black sludge. You can see the mess in the before photo, with the deck and our bucket underneath.

We cleared it and flushed it until it ran clear, and that's the after photo, water running through a clean gutter. Caught it in April, ahead of the summer.

The usual list for a Point Pleasant house

Point Pleasant is a water town, but the work on its houses is the same list we run everywhere else in Ocean County.

It starts with gutter cleaning and downspout flushing, and we mean every downspout. After that, it's soft wash house washing on vinyl, stucco, or brick. Low pressure, so nothing gets forced behind the siding, and a cleaning solution that lifts the mold and mildew and algae. Driveways and patios get power washing. Pool decks and pavers too. Window cleaning runs to the second story, inside and out, and we clean the screens and sills along with the frames.

The Quarterly Maintenance Plan for a cape or a ranch

A year-round house doesn't need a crew every month. A short list done on time, four times a year, takes care of it. That's the Quarterly Maintenance Plan. In winter, we change the HVAC filter and the smoke and CO alarm batteries, then clean out the dryer vent and the bathroom exhaust vents. Range hood and dishwasher filters, refrigerator coils, those are winter too. Come spring, it's the siding wash and power washing, plus the gutters. Summer is the windows inside and out and the AC coil, and we flush the water heater. In the fall, the gutters get done again. That visit also takes care of the low ceiling fans and a garage door tune-up, along with light handyman work.

In Nick's words, "This is our bread and butter: proactive and preventative maintenance. It's like an oil change for your property." Each visit ends with time-stamped photos and a written report.

Commercial maintenance in Point Pleasant

Route 88 and Route 35 both run through Point Pleasant, and the boardwalk is right next door in Point Pleasant Beach. HOAs and condo associations around here can go on the commercial quarterly plan, and so can property managers and landlords. Restaurants too. It covers exterior washing and pressure washing the walkways, plus roof drains and scuppers. We also run the alarm and lighting checks and work through the handyman list, and we send photos after every visit.

What Point Pleasant customers ask us

Twice a year, spring and fall. That's how the Quarterly Maintenance Plan has it set up. We do the gutters and downspouts on the spring visit and again in the fall, with every downspout flushed until it runs clear. Gutter cleaning starts at $200.

Yes. That's the separate borough next door, the one with the boardwalk, and we work in both. You get the same crew and the same photos in either one.

We wet the plants down first, and the cleaning agents are biodegradable. When we're done, we rinse everything off. A bed along a bulkhead gets treated like any other bed.
